Digital Creation Space (DCS)



There are two DCS in the Plano Public Library:



Haggard Library and Parr Library. The purpose of this space is to provide patrons with access to digital media technologies and to accommodate individual or group multimedia projects. Each space provides computers with Adobe Creative Suite and various audio, video, and graphic design equipment. Permissionmust be noted in your account prior to use of the room -minors must have parental permission. Space is limited to those who have a PPL card in good standing (no fines). Behavior must be consistent with the library’s Code of Conduct. Use of the space is first come first serve basis unless previously reserved. Use is limited to 2-hour increments with extended time if no other person has requested use of the room. Users may check out room and equipment with their library card -users accept responsibility for the room and its equipment. The individual who checks out the room and equipment is considered the main user and is responsible for any misuse or damage to the room, furniture, or equipment, even if a group is working on a projecttogether. Users must save their work on an external memory device -all files are automatically deleted upon logging off the computer and the library is not responsible for equipment or files left behind by patrons. A maximum of 6 people allowed at one time; users must be working on digital media projects. No food or drinks are permitted.
